myLot Discussions on First Man on the Moon Stamps
do you believe that the first man of the moon was fake?
conspiracy was all over television stating that the first people who went to the moon were just faking to procure money.Considering that there was no air in the moon, the US flag moved by itself. lighting was an issue in the moon and the gravity there also was unstable. it was said that it was purely a video made in restricted/hidden area (said to be military hideout). was it really a fake? the pride of americans is on the line... do you agree or not?
Name the first man who touch moon surface?
Tell me the first person then Second person third Person In another 5years I will also touch moon........remember my username in MYLOT...........
Here's one you can all respond to...Favorite Childhood Memory??
What is your favorite childhood memory? My favorite memory to recall is collecting Ladybugs and Japanese Beetles from my Grandmothers Flower Garden. Oh what fun we used to have. First we would collect all the japanese beetles we could find and put them in a jar. The one who got the most got a nickel. My grandfather would then dispose of them as they ate the leaves of the roses. Then we would collect all the ladybugs we could find and the winner of that got a nickel. We would then release the ladybugs as they were good for the garden. After dinner my grandfather would take us for a ride and we would go to the country store and get penny candy. We all got a nickel to spend, but the winners always had extra to spend. I usually won the ladybug contest as I didn't like the way the japanese beetles would cling to your skin...yuk..lol How about your childhood?
What do think of a real experience in walking on the moon?
Each time when you looking at the moon, there are just kinds of special feeling towards the moon.I don't know how to describe it but something is there.I have never dream of taking a trip to the moon but however,I think it would be fun if I can walk on the moon with all those space jackets and equippment like a space man.Well, after the First Man,on the moon. There were many others follow him and took their visit to the moon already. What about you?Have you ever thought of it and do you think it is going to be a fun experience for you?
And the beat goes on
Being born in the year 1965, you get to experience a lot of things in the last 40 years or so. The First Man on the moon, the assasinations of Martin Luther King, Woodstock, etc. Even the emergence of Beatlemania. The only thing still around today is the music: Jimi Hendrix, The Doors, Janis Joplin. Though they have passed on as people, their words and music will live on for a long time to come. That's is why the oldies are so important to me, it never goes out of style. Even radio stations of today are still playing them. People still remember most hits, and can even remember the lyrics verbatim. Simple things you can still pass on from generation to generation. Is there a particular oldies tune that still has your toes tapping. Is there a favorite band from that era which you may still have an lp floating around your house somewhere? Feel free to open your time capsule, and let the fun begin.
is it fair to say that man is intelligent and have come a long way?
man have come a long way god have blessed him,man have put the first Man on the moon.man have created transportation what else that you know of man have done over the years. begin.
I Was There - Where Were You?
I know a lot of you weren't even born yet, so be patient with an old woman. I'm being nostalgic here and having memories. Some of them a few of you will remember, some of you might think I'm older than dirt. But here goes......I was there - - - when gasoline was 13 cents a gallon. They used to have price wars even then....and I can remember gas getting down to 10 cents a gallon.Bread was 10 cents a loaf. Color television hadn't hit the stores yet. We only had black and white and could only get 3 channels with a powerful antenna. Cable and satelite weren't invented yet.We didn't have computers or video games. We played outside all day long - until dark!If we went to the movies it was a quarter, although my grandmother worked in a theatre when it was a nickle. Of course top dollar wages was $1.25 an hour. I remember the first man on the moon and I remember when JFK was killed. There's too much to post here, but, for those who were around back then, Where were you when these things took place and what do you remember? For those who are a bit younger, what were the big events you remember as a child?
The Eagle has landed.
Would you know if Neil Armstrong, the first man on the moon has a monument somewhere in the states or other parts of the world? Lyka, the Russian cosmonaut dog has one.
Armstrong really had went to the moon or was a total fraud?
I was one which believed firm about Armstrong really had went to the moon ...but i watched some documentary which said Armstrong the first man to reach moon was a total fraud. On another hand my boyfriend keep saying that documentary don't prove anything at all except that conspiracy theorists are full of crap...Was or not Armstrong to the moon?
Man never land on the Moon!!!
Its real...........I`ve seen a documentry, n its incredible. Man never land on the Moon. In America there is one area called AREA-51 their they creat enviorment as on the moon n spent money alot to tape a video that shows America send first man on the Moon. Why they did this? for only fame that we are the first people sending man on the moon. what do you think abut creating fake image as America???
